Second Home Visit done!
>> Tuesday, October 21, 2008
Sorry I haven't posted anything for a while. We were in the States until the 18th and then the Social Worker came on the 20th. So we had to unpack and clean up to prepare for his visit...all the while dealing with jet lag! We made it through, though. Everything went well. This is one more step behind us. One more step closer to having our baby girl!!!!!
We have some more revisions to make on the Home Study as well before we can submit the final copy. We're also waiting on our police clearances to come through before our Dossier will be ready to send to Ethiopia. Once it's in Ethiopia we've been told that we'll have to wait 4 to 6 months. The waiting list for a baby girl is longer than for baby boys. So, we're prepared to wait until June before getting a referral.
In the mean time we're enjoying our little boy. Here's a video of Joseph helping us clean up before the Social Worker came visit: (I still need to figure out how to put better quality videos on blogger.)

What a good little helper! I love to see videos of you guys! PTL your home visit is done and now ou can focus on your jet lag...sleep at night, not at daytime!
are you guys still in the states? if you are close, maybe we can see you...
Hey! so fun. He is still a little MAN!!! You would die to see how daintly Layla puts things away (= She started doing that about two weeks ago. So when we are cooking in the kitchen mom and I say constantly "put in, take out" as she empties and re-fills her little drawers (= How close is he to walking? Is he doing other signs? Layla finally got into it and learned three signs, used them all the time and now they are all basically meaning "help me do more!" precious. Miss you.
It's nice to see that you are moving right along! We are just waiting on our I-171H. That will complete our paperwork.
Joseph is sooooo handsome and funny. Emersyn is just crawling still but I am really ok with that!
